Jan. 30- Feb. 3

Here’s the plan for next week:

 French: This week students will learn the 'passé composé' with the verbs AVOIR and ÊTRE. There will be no evaluation. In addition, we will be starting a physical activity journal (JAP) for the month of February. This is a French and Health project.
 
**Students must also remember to read in French 20 minutes per day, 4 days a week for their reading program. Reading logs from last week are due on Monday. **
 
Math: We will complete our unit on multiplication. Students should be reviewing their basic multiplication facts up to 9. There will be a timed pop quiz sometime during the week on numbers up to 9. In addition, we will be working on word problems involving multiplication. There will be a quiz on Friday, February 3rd.
 
Music/ English: We will continue to work on the music research project. The due date for this project is Monday, February 6th.
 
Science: Our next MSD (wasteless lunch) is on Wednesday, February 3rd. More information is also posted on the blog. If you do not wish for your child to participate, please write a note in his or her agenda.
 
Social Studies: This week we will continue our unit on the Rocky Mountains. There will be an evaluation on Friday, February 3rd.

Jan. 23- 26

Here’s the plan for next week:
 
This week students will learn the 'passé composé' with verbs ending in RE. There will be an evaluation on Thursday, January 26th. 
 
**Students must also remember to read in French 20 minutes per day, 4 days a week for their reading program. Reading logs from last week are due on Monday. **
 
Math: We will continue our unit on multiplication. Students should be reviewing their basic multiplication facts up to 7. There will be a timed pop quiz sometime during the week on numbers up to 7.
 
Music/ English: We will continue to work on the music research project. 
 
Science: Our next MSD (wasteless lunch) is on Wednesday, January 25th. More information is also posted on the blog. If you do not wish for your child to participate, please write a note in his or her agenda.
 
Social Studies: This week we will start our unit on the Rocky Mountains.

**Students must also remember to read in French 20 minutes per day, 4 days a week for their reading program. Reading logs from last week are due on Monday. **
 
Math: We will continue our unit on multiplication. Students should be reviewing their basic multiplication facts up to 5. There will be a pop quiz sometime during the week on numbers 0 - 3.
 
Music/ English: We will be working on a music research project. 
 
Religion: We will be discussing the Epiphany. The liturgy will take place on Thursday at 10:00 am.
 
Science: Our next MSD (wasteless lunch) is on Wednesday, January 18th. More information is also posted on the blog.
 
Social Studies: This week, students should be reviewing the origins of Alberta and the different theories of creation. There will be an evaluation on Friday, January 20th.

Jan. 9- 13

Here’s the plan for next week:
 
French: This week students will learn the 'passé composé' with verbs ending in ER. There will be an evaluation on Friday, January 13th. 
**Students must also remember to read in French 20 minutes per day, 4 days a week for their reading program. Reading logs from last week are due on Monday. **
 
Math: We will begin our unit on multiplication. Students should be reviewing their basic multiplication facts up to 9 X 9.
 
Religion/ English: We will be completing various activities to improve writing. In religion, we will be working on writing a prayer for the morning announcements.
 
Science: Our next MSD (wasteless lunch) is on Wednesday, January 11th. More information is also posted on the blog.

Social Studies: This week, students will look at the origins of Alberta and we will discuss the different theories of creation.
