Apr. 3- 7

Here’s the plan for next week:

 French: This week students will learn the verb AVOIR in the 'imparfait'. There will be a dictée on April 7th.
 
 
**Students must also remember to read in French 20 minutes per day, 4 days a week for their reading program. Reading logs from last week are due on Monday. **
 

Math: We will begin our next unit of measuring area.


English: We will start our unit on poetry.

 
Religion: Students will begin to prepare for the upcoming liturgy of Holy Thursday.
 
Social Studies: This week we will look at agriculture in Alberta. We are also going to Aggie Days on Thursday to deepen our understanding of agriculture and where our food comes from.
 
Science: Our next MSD (wasteless lunch) is on Wednesday, April 4th. If you do not wish for your child to participate, please write a note in his or her agenda.


IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

We are going to Aggie Days on April 6th. Please ensure that your child has a lunch (we cannot purchase any food on site) and wears appropriate footwear for all of the walking that we will be doing.

March 20- 24

Here’s the plan for next week:

 French: This week students will be completing their literacy projects. Everything is due on March 24th.
**Students must also remember to read in French 20 minutes per day, 4 days a week for their reading program. Reading logs from last week are due on Monday. **
Math: We will complete our unit on telling time. There will be an evaluation on Wednesday, March 22nd.


English/ Religion: Students will be completing their religion projects. The project is due on Wednesday, March 22nd. In religion, students will also work on their Lenten promises.
Social Studies: This week we will look at natural resources in Alberta with a focus on agriculture. Students will receive a field trip form for Aggie Days on Monday and forms are due by Wednesday.
 

Science: Our next MSD (wasteless lunch) is on Wednesday, March 22nd. If you do not wish for your child to participate, please write a note in his or her agenda.


IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

Thank you to all of the parents who came to interviews. If you have any questions or concerns from now until the end of the school year, please do no hesitate to contact me.

This Friday will be Jeux de société. If possible, bring a game related to math.

Mar. 13- 15

Here’s the plan for next week:

 French: This week students will be learning 'les verbes pronominaux'. They will also continue to work on their literacy projects.
 
**Students must also remember to read in French 20 minutes per day, 4 days a week for their reading program. Reading logs from last week are due on Monday. **
 
Math: We will continue our unit on telling time.


English/ Religion: Students will be working on their religion projects. In religion, students will also work on their Lenten promises.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
Parent-Teacher conferences will take place on Thursday, March 16th from 9:00 am until 3:00 pm and 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Please book your appointment using the Conference Manager.
There will be no school on Friday, March 17th.

March 6- 10

Here’s the plan for next week:
 French: This week students will be working on their literacy projects as well as review grammar rules such as adjectives, nouns, homophones, masculine/ feminine and singular/ plural.
 
**Students must also remember to read in French 20 minutes per day, 4 days a week for their reading program. Reading logs from last week are due on Monday. **
 
Math: We will continue our unit on telling time. There will be an evaluation mid-week.
 
English: Students will complete their poem about famous people of Alberta. This is to celebrate Canada's 150th anniversary. The poem is due on Tuesday, March 7th.

Religion: Students will be working on their religion project.
 
Science: We will be working on presenting the new recycling program to all of the classes (blue bins). There will also be an art project involving the colours of the rainbow, which is related to our Lights and Shadows unit.
Our next MSD (wasteless lunch) is on Wednesday, March 8th. More information is also posted on the blog. If you do not wish for your child to participate, please write a note in his or her agenda.
 
IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
Report cards will go home on Friday, March 10th.
