Volunteers needed!

Dear Parents,

On May 17th, we have a Teacher's Pet in-class field trip presentation from 9:00 am- 11:00 am. The program requires 3-4 parent volunteers. If you are able to volunteer, please send me an email.

Apr. 30- May 4

French: This week students will learn the verbs ALLER and FAIRE in the 'imparfait'. There will be no evaluation this week as students will be preparing for the "gala d'art oratoire" (see Social Studies).

In addition, students are required to read out loud in French for a total of 50 minutes per week. They are also to read in English for an additional 50 minutes per week. Reading logs from last week are due this MONDAY (April 30th)!

Math
: We will start a new unit on fractions.

English: We will continue our unit on poetry.

Science: We will be continuing our unit on simple machines.

Social Studies: Students will present their Alberta-themed text in preparation for the "Gala d'art oratoire" on Friday. They should have their text memorized for the presentations.

Apr. 23- 27

French: This week students will learn the verbs ending in IR in the 'imparfait'. There will be an evaluation on Friday, April 27th.

In addition, students are required to read out loud in French for a total of 50 minutes per week. They are also to read in English for an additional 50 minutes per week. Reading logs from last week are due this MONDAY (April 23rd)!

Math
: We will complete our unit on measuring area.

English: We will continue our unit on poetry.

Science: We will be starting a new unit on simple machines.

Social Studies: Students will be continuing to write their Alberta-themed text in preparation for the "Gala d'art oratoire".

In addition, there is a new reading program. Students are required to read out loud in French for a total of 50 minutes per week. They are also to read in English for an additional 50 minutes per week. Reading logs from last week are due this MONDAY (April 16th)!

English: We will continue our unit on poetry.

Social Studies: Students will be writing an Alberta-themed text in preparation for the "Gala d'art oratoire".

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

On Thursday, the grade 4 students will be going to Aggie Days. Please ensure that they have a bagged lunch. In addition, students with allergies to dust and farm animals should bring their allergy medication.
