June 19- 23

French: This week students will complete their literacy activities for the month of June.


**We have changed the format of the reading program. Now students must read in French and English for 50 minutes a week (100 minutes total) for their reading program. Reading logs from last week are due on Monday. **

Math:  Students will learn how to multiply large numbers.

English: We will be learning about root words.

Social Studies: We will be going over the information in the students' pamphlets. Each student will share their topics as we review the history of Alberta. In addition, we will be doing some themed activities on Wednesday in honour of National Aboriginal Day.

June 12- 16


French: This week students will continue to learn about comic strips as well as work on their literacy activities.
 
**We have changed the format of the reading program. Now students must read in French and English for 50 minutes a week (100 minutes total) for their reading program. Reading logs from last week are due on Monday. **

Math:  Students will begin the data analysis unit where we will be looking at different types of graphs.

English: We will continue our novel study of "Belle of Batoche" by Jacqueline Guest.
 
Social Studies: Students will continue to work on the project regarding the history of Alberta. This is due on Friday.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
This week we are starting our unit on Family Life. If you do not wish that your child participate in this unit, please sign the form that you received via email and send it back to school by Tuesday, June 13th.

June 5- 9
