June 18- 22

French: This week students will finish reading a story called "Le voyage vers l'ouest". They will learn about the history of settlers coming to Western Canada.

In addition, students are required to read out loud in French for a total of 50 minutes per week. They are also to read in English for an additional 50 minutes per week. Reading logs from last week are due this MONDAY (June 18th)!

Math
: We will look at data analysis and graphs.

English: We will be reading a selection of short stories from the Times to Share textbook.

Social Studies: Students will present their topics from the project about the history of Alberta.



Wednesday, June 20th is our next MSD/ Wasteless Wednesday. For more information on our wasteless lunch program, please read the blog post.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
Students will have phys. Ed outside for the remainder of the year, weather permitting. Therefore, students should come to school prepared for this (i.e., hat, jacket, sunscreen etc.)

June 11- 15

Math
: We will finish our unit on decimal numbers and move on to geometry.

English: We will complete our novel study on Belle of Batoche.

Social Studies: Students will complete their work on creating a pamphlet of information regarding the history of Alberta. The FINAL DEADLINE for this project is June 14th.

Science: We will have an in-class presentation on plant growth and change. If you are able to volunteer, please e-mail me.

Volunteers Needed!

Dear Parents,

On June 12th, we have a Teacher's Pet in-class field trip presentation on plant growth and change from 9:00 am- 11:00 am. This program requires 3 parent volunteers. If you are able to volunteer, please send me an email.
