Grade 5: Apr. 25- 29

 

GRADE 5

Here is what we will be covering in class next week:

French: Students will continue their novel study of Les terrifiantes croustilles de tante Imelda.
A reminder that book reports are due Friday.


Math: We will start a new unit on geometry.

English: Students will continue learning about poetry.

Social Studies: We will start chapter 9: New Ways of Living.

Religion: Students will review unit 4 and learn about celebrating the Paschal Mystery.

Grade 4: Apr. 25- 29

GRADE 4


Here is what we will be covering in class next week:

French: Students will learn how to conjugate irregular verbs such as ALLER and FAIRE in the ‘imparfait’. There will be an evaluation on Friday.
A reminder that book reports are due on Friday.

Math:  We will start a new unit on fractions.

English: Students will continue to learn about poetry.

Science: We will continue with our unit on Simple Machines.

Social Studies: Students will continue to work on a research project based on one of the natural resources of Alberta.

 Religion: Students will learn about the Resurrection: New Life in Jesus.

Grade 5: Apr. 11- 14

GRADE 5

Here is what we will be covering in class next week:

French: Students will start a novel study. They will be reading Les terrifiantes croustilles de tante Imelda.

Math: We will finish with our unit on fractions. There will be an evaluation on Thursday.

English: Students will continue learning about poetry.

Social Studies: We will finish with chapter 8: The Creation of Canada. There will be an evaluation on Tuesday. Then we will start chapter 9: New Ways of Living.

Religion: Students will finish learning about Lent. In addition, our class is leading the Holy Thursday Liturgy at 10:00 am. Please use the following link to join:

A reminder that reading programs are due on Monday. Students are required to read 50 minutes in French and 50 minutes in English per week.

Math:  We will finish our unit on measuring area. There will be an evaluation on Thursday.

English: Students will continue to learn about poetry.

Science: We will continue with our unit on Simple Machines.

Social Studies: Students will work on a research project based on one of the natural resources of Alberta.

English: Students will continue learning about poetry.

Religion: Students will finish presenting their Black History Month projects. In addition, they will continue learning about Lent.

A REMINDER THAT BOOK REPORTS AND THE READING PROGRAM ARE DUE ON MONDAY.
