May 15- 18

Here's the plan for next week:

French: This week students will learn the 'futur proche'. In addition, students will work on their literacy projects for the month of May.

**We have changed the format of the reading program. Now students must read in French and English for 50 minutes a week (100 minutes total) for their reading program. Reading logs from last week are due on Monday. **

Math:  Students will learn how to add and subtract decimal numbers.

English: We will read various texts in our "Times to Share" book and complete activities that accompany the stories.

Science: Students will work on inventing and building a complex machine using different simple machines. If students wish to bring material from home to help build their machine, they may do so. In addition, we have a workshop on Tuesday in the library with a group called Robogals. The workshop is entitled "Not So Simple Machines".

Important Information:
Wednesday, May 17th we are going on a field trip to the Glenbow Museum. Please ensure that your child has a bagged lunch.
