Here is the plan for next week:
French: We will be learning the verb '
être' in the present tense and expressions that use this verb. There will be a dictée on Friday. Students will receive a study sheet on Monday to help prepare them.
In addition, we will begin our French reading program at home. Students are required to read out loud in French for 20 minutes a day, four times a week.
Math: Students are finishing the unit on patterns and we will move onto numeration. They should be practicing their numbers from 1- 100 in French.
English: We will be reading various texts as well as completing creative writing activities. In addition, we will look at making predictions before reading stories.
Social Studies: Students will continue to learn about the geography of Alberta.
Science: We will be visiting and weeding the outdoor classroom when the weather permits.
Thank you to the parents who have volunteered to take photos of the students in the outdoor classroom; however, we are still looking for volunteers to take the bottle and paper recycling. Volunteers can alternate with these tasks.
**We will be attending mass at St. Luke's church on Thursday, September 22nd at 10:00 am.
**The Terry Fox run will be held on Friday, September 23rd.
