Oct. 17- 21

Here’s the plan for next week:

French: This week students will study adjectives. We will look at the spelling and form (feminine, masculine, singular and plural) of a variety of adjectives that are commonly used in French. There will be a dictée on Friday and students will receive the study sheet on Monday.
**Students must also remember to read in French 20 minutes per day, 4 days a week for their reading program. Reading logs from last week are due on Monday. **

Math: We are continuing with our unit on numeration. This week we will be looking at estimating sums and addition strategies.

Religion: Feast of St. Luke liturgy will be held on Tuesday October 18th at 1:00 pm. Some of our grade 4 students will be participating.

English: We will review homophones, synonyms and antonyms, followed by a mini pop quiz. In addition, students will learn about prefixes and suffixes.

Science: We will be continuing our unit on "Waste in our World" where students will learn about our environment. This week we will look at worms and composting, and how to create less waste. Please review the information about our MSD program (wasteless lunches) starting on Wednesday October 19th. This information is a different post on the blog.
