GRADE 5
Here is what we will be covering in class next
week:
French: Students will learn about the 6 traits of writing: ideas,
organization, word choice, sentence fluency, voice and conventions.
Math: We will continue with our unit on measure.
English: Students will learn about prefixes and suffixes. There will be an evaluation
on Friday.
Religion: Students will continue to write personal prayers that they will read
during the morning announcements.
SPECIAL EVENT: On Friday, February 5th, students will participate in a virtual
presentation of Folklofolie. They are asked to bring a pair of metal spoons
with them to school that day in order to take part of the action.
IMPORTANT MESSAGE: If students want to distribute Valentine’s cards
to their classmates, they must bring them to school no later than Wednesday,
February 10th so that they can be distributed by Tuesday,
February 16th (after the long weekend). I must quarantine the cards
for a minimum of 72 hours beforehand. In addition, students will NOT be allowed
to give each other candy, according to AHS guidelines.
