French: This week students will learn the difference between the 'futur proche' and the 'futur simple'. There will be no evaluation this week as students will be preparing for the "gala d'art oratoire" (see Social Studies).
In addition, students are required to read out loud in French for a total of 50 minutes per week. They are also to read in English for an additional 50 minutes per week. Reading logs from last week are due this MONDAY (May 7th)!
Math: We will continue our unit on fractions.
English: We will finish our unit on poetry.
Science: We will be continuing our unit on simple machines.
Social Studies: Students will present their Alberta-themed text in preparation for the "Gala d'art oratoire" on Friday. This will be the second round of presentations. Students should have their text memorized, have practiced adding gestures and present with expression!

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
Students will have phys. Ed outside for the remainder of the year, weather permitting. Therefore, students should come to school prepared for this (i.e., hat, jacket, sunscreen etc.)
