GRADE 4
Here is what we will be covering in class next week:
French: Students will learn about ‘le nom commun’. This includes
searching words up in the dictionary, putting words in alphabetical order, and
writing the plural form of words. There will be an evaluation on Friday.
A reminder that students’
reading programs are due on Tuesday. If they forgot their yellow tracking sheet
at school, students can always use a lined piece of paper and have a parent
sign off on their reading minutes.
Math: We are learning about how to represent whole numbers in
different ways. There will be an evaluation on Wednesday. Students
should know all their numbers in French up to 1000. Spelling of these numbers
does NOT count on the upcoming evaluation.
English: Students will be learning about punctuation and capitalization
We will then move on to homonyms, synonyms and antonyms.
Science: We are starting the second half of our unit on Waste in our
World.
Social Studies: We will continue to discuss the different theories of
the creation of the Earth.
Religion: Message from Mme Lora: In Religion class, we are discussing how reading the Bible is
key to strengthening our faith in God. We’ve learned how people did great
things because they trusted God. We’ve also discussed what it means to have
“free will”. We are also focusing on the Ten Commandments
