Grade 4: Oct. 13- 16

 GRADE 4

Here is what we will be covering in class next week:


French: Students will learn about ‘le nom commun’. This includes searching words up in the dictionary, putting words in alphabetical order, and writing the plural form of words. There will be an evaluation on Friday. A reminder that students’ reading programs are due on Tuesday. If they forgot their yellow tracking sheet at school, students can always use a lined piece of paper and have a parent sign off on their reading minutes.

Math: We are learning about how to represent whole numbers in different ways. There will be an evaluation on Wednesday. Students should know all their numbers in French up to 1000. Spelling of these numbers does NOT count on the upcoming evaluation.

English: Students will be learning about punctuation and capitalization We will then move on to homonyms, synonyms and antonyms.

Science: We are starting the second half of our unit on Waste in our World.

Social Studies: We will continue to discuss the different theories of the creation of the Earth.

Religion: Message from Mme Lora: In Religion class, we are discussing how reading the Bible is key to strengthening our faith in God. We’ve learned how people did great things because they trusted God. We’ve also discussed what it means to have “free will”.  We are also focusing on the Ten Commandments
