Grade 4: Oct. 26- 28

GRADE 4

Here is what we will be covering in class next week:

French: Students will complete the writing assignment where they describe what a school is. The good copy is due on Wednesday. In addition, we will be learning about adjectives.
A reminder that students’ reading programs are due on Monday. If they forgot their yellow tracking sheet at school, students can always use a lined piece of paper and have a parent sign off on their reading minutes.

Math: We will continue with our unit on whole numbers. There will be an evaluation on Tuesday on classifying numbers into Venn diagrams. Then we will move on to addition.

English: Students will learn about sentence structure. There will be a brief quiz at the end of this unit.

Science: We have almost completed the second unit on Waste in our World. Students should be reviewing their notes as there will be a unit test in a couple of weeks.

Social Studies: We will be reviewing our recent unit on the different theories of the creation of Earth and the scientists who study the past. There will be an evaluation after the long weekend.

Religion: Message from Mme Lora: In Religion class, we will be learning how prayers and rituals unite us with God and one another.
