GRADE 5
Here is what we will be covering in class next
week:
French: Students will start a research project that will lead to oral
presentations.
Math: We will continue with our unit on measure. Students have
started a project where they create a 3D model of a floor plan. They also have
to calculate the perimeter, area and volume of the plan.
English: Students will learn about synonyms and antonyms. There will be
an evaluation on Wednesday.
Religion: Students will write Lenten promises.
VALENTINE’S MESSAGE: If
students want to distribute Valentine’s cards to their classmates, they must
bring the cards to school no later than Wednesday, February 10th so
that they can be distributed by Tuesday, February 16th (after
the long weekend). I must quarantine the cards for a minimum of 72 hours
beforehand. In addition, students will NOT be allowed to give each other candy,
according to AHS guidelines. Students are also asked to bring a large Ziploc
bag to school in order to take their Valentine’s cards home.
