Grade 4: Nov. 7- 9

Here is what we will be covering in class next week:

French: A reminder that the French Reading Program is due on MONDAY.
Students will learn how to conjugate verbs ending in ER in the present tense. There will be an evaluation on November 15th.

Math: We will continue our unit on addition and estimating sums. Students should be practicing their basic addition facts.

English: We will start to learn about sentence structure: run-on sentences, fragments, simple, compound, and complex sentences. Students will also be completing some reading comprehension activities.

Science: We will continue part 2 of Waste in Our World.

Social Studies: Students will learn about the different theories of the origins of Alberta.

Religion: Students will complete readings and reflections about the service and selflessness of Veterans and their families.

There will also be discussions about peace: within ourselves, and with our families, friends, neighbours, fellow citizens and globally

Practice being a disciple by teaching a young child in our school the finger play: HERE IS THE CHURCH. Practice it and memorize it for Wednesday.

Here is the church

And here is the steeple.

Open the doors

And see all the people.

Close the doors

And hear them pray.

Open the doors

And they all walk away.

Participate in the Remembrance Day Liturgy on Wednesday at 10:00. Parents are welcome and encouraged to attend.

REMINDER: Parent-teacher conferences are on November 9th in the evening, and November 10th during the day.
