Here is what we will be covering in class next week:

French: Letters for the French at-home reading program were sent last week. Each reading log is due at the end of the month.
Students will continue to work on cursive writing, as well as learning about vowels, consonants, and syllables.
Additionally, we will start some of our Daily 5 literacy centres this week.

Math: We will continue to learn about number sense. Students are learning how to represent numbers in different ways: place value charts, base 10 blocks, deconstructed form, written form etc. They should be practicing saying their numbers in French up to 10,000 for now.

English: Students will finish writing a short letter (10 sentences) explaining what kind of teacher they need to be successful this year. This is due on Thursday. We will also continue our novel study on Secret Signs.

Science: We will continue learning about the scientific method.

Social Studies: Students will continue with some introductory activities to develop mapping skills.
