Here is what we will be covering in class next week:
French: The reading log is due at the
end of the month.
Students will continue to work on cursive writing, as well as learning about
vowels, consonants, syllables, unscrambling sentences and describing an image
in French.
Math: We will continue to learn about
number sense. Students are learning how to represent numbers in different ways:
place value charts, base 10 blocks, deconstructed form, written form etc. They
should be practicing saying their numbers in French up to 100, 000.
English: Students will have a couple of lessons
leading up to National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. We will also continue
our novel study on Secret Signs.
Science: We will continue learning about the
scientific method, including the three types of variables.
Social
Studies:
Students will work on a mapping project.
Religion: Students will learn why and how we
pray.
REMINDER: The Terry Fox run will be on Tuesday morning at
9:15 am. Students are encouraged to donate a toonie for Terry. Since the grade
3’s will be running around the block with the grade 4’s, permission forms
are due BEFORE the run.
