Here is what we will be covering in class next week:
French: Students will
continue their French reading program at home. They should be on log 2 by now. They
will also continue learning about how to improve their ideas in writing.
Math: We will
continue to study monetary value (Canadian currency).
English: Students will continue
to study the rules of capitalization. They will also learn about how to
properly use punctuation in writing. There will be a short quiz on
capitalization on Wednesday.
Science: We will continue
with our unit on rocks and minerals.
Social Studies: Students will continue
to study India.
Religion: Students will continue to learn about unit 1: Our Catholic
Community. They will use 4 steps to write a personal prayer to God. The
celebration of the Feast of St. Luke will be on Tuesday. Additionally, students
will need to memorize and write the names of the 12 disciples. There will be an
evaluation on Friday, October 28th. There is a song on YouTube
called “We Sing- There Were 12 Disciples” that help students to memorize the
names.
Reminder: Picture Day is on
Tuesday, October 18th.
