Here is what we will be covering in class next week:
French: A reminder
that the French
Reading Program is due on MONDAY.
Students will finish their
writing assignment where they describe what a school is. This is due on
Friday. In addition, students will continue to complete some
comprehension activities.
Math: We will start our unit on addition and estimating sums. Students should be practicing their basic addition facts.
English: Students
will complete their punctuation unit. There will be an evaluation on
Wednesday. Then we will start to learn about sentence structure.
Social
Studies: Students will finish
presenting their projects on Monday. Then we will start to look at the origins
of Alberta.
Religion: Students will continue to learn about unit 1: Called to be One. They will also reflect on the difference between the meaning of “the” church and “a” church. They will show their understanding with a drawing and decorate/ build a church-shaped donation box out of cardboard.
Suggest family
activity in preparation for Remembrance Day on November 11th: Walk
among the crosses in the Field of Crosses (200 Memorial Drive NW). Info at https://www.fieldofcrosses.com/
Send the teacher a photo to share with the class.
REMINDER: There is no school on November 1st.
When students return on November 2nd, we will be completing a series
of activities for Student Wellness Day.
