Here is what we will be covering in class next week:
French: Students will
continue their French reading program at home. They will also complete some
activities for Thanksgiving. In addition, students will continue learning about
alphabetizing, vocabulary, and other word work.
Math: We will
continue with number sense. Students are learning how to represent numbers in
different ways, compare numbers, and place numbers on a number line. They
should be practicing saying their numbers in French up to 100,000. There will
be an evaluation on Thursday.
English: We will continue a
novel study on Flying Solo. In addition, students will work on
activities that accompany the novel study.
Science: We will continue
exploring the scientific method, including scientific variables. Then we will
move on to study rocks and minerals.
Social Studies: Students will start
a mapping project where they draw a map of the classroom.
Religion: Students
will continue to learn about unit 1: Our Catholic Community. They will also
practice reflections, songs, and prayers for Thanksgiving.
