Here is what we will be covering in class next week:
French: A reminder that the French reading
program is due for Tuesday.
Students will be learning how to conjugate the
verbs AVOIR and ÊTRE in the passé composé. There will be an evaluation
on Friday. Students will need to know when to use AVOIR and ÊTRE. We will also continue our reading groups with GB+ and learn about "le déterminant".
Math: We will continue our unit on multiplication. Students should be
practicing their multiplication facts up to 9 X 9. There will be a quiz
on Wednesday.
English: We will finish presentations of the music research project. Then,
we will move on to study prefixes and suffixes, as well as start to learn about
Black History Month.
Science: We will continue our unit on Lights and Shadows.
Social Studies: Students will continue their project on the different geographical
regions of Alberta.
Religion: Students will continue unit 3: The Kingdom of God. Students will also learn the liturgical season of
ordinary time. They will complete the “Many Names for Jesus” project as well as
learn about growing in faith through the Sacraments. Additionally, for part of
Faith in Action, students will prepare a St. Valentine’s activity for their
grade one buddies.
A REMINDER THAT BOOK REPORTS ARE DUE ON WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 1ST.
